GE DS200TCTGG1AEE turbine trip board is installed in slot 4 of the turbine control core and controls the turbine's fuel shutoff valves and provides a fail-safe mechanism for fuel valve operation via the main trip relay and emergency trip relay. The PTR is controlled by the control system processor and communication errors and is the primary means of initiating a turbine trip. The ETR is managed by the turbine control and emergency action board in the core and requires a 2-out-of-3 vote of the relays for an emergency trip.

- Emergency Trip Relay (ETR): Managed by the Turbine Control and Emergency Action (TCEA) board in the core. Emergency tripping requires a 2-out-of-3 vote by the ETR relays.
- Synchronizing Relays: The GE DS200TCTGG1AEE board also has relays for synchronizing the turbine system. When either trip relay is activated, they remove the 24 VDC power to the PTR and ETR relays, initiating a trip.
- Function of the Hardware Jumper: Hardware Jumper J1 (Emergency Overspeed Servo Clamp) on the GE DS200TCTGG1AEE board functions in certain situations. When an emergency overspeed condition occurs in the turbine, the J1 jumper is activated, which opens servovalves 1 - 4, allowing 24V DC power to be applied to the servo outputs.
